Ed, Why is the Independent promoting potential crime by publishing in your last issue (CVI 19/4/17) a letter bizarrely titled ‘ “Bat Off” the Merry Goes Round’, with choice recommendations for dealing with Flying foxes such as “Invite volunteers from the clay target clubs, council could supply all the shells and…employ the (Big Bang Theory)” and “We need a big pit in case there is a bit of accidental damage”? Would you promote other proposed crimes too, or is vulnerable wildlife a special target for you? Linda Wright, Lawrenc
