Powerhouse winner at Bravehearts

Bravehearts Stableford match at Maclean CGC last Tuesday week was played on the first nine holes in glorious weather with a good field of seasoned competitors.

Finally, Clem’s day has arrived, coming in ahead of everyone with a handsome 23 points and claiming the novelty prize pack consisting of two new beer glasses and a bottle of Powerhouse Pale Ale. As a beer connoisseur, he was rapt to score well today and take home a new tasting experience.

Close behind him were fellow golfing sprinter Sonia Bonaccorsi & Phil Meek, on 20 points. Sonia was chuffed to score the large box of fabled “MH Brownies” and Phil took home the Hidden Gem red wine. Welcome back from exile Phil. Rod Dee was next in with 17 points and claimed the extra bottle of Cab/Merlot by Hidden Gem wineries.

Longest putt/chip in was won by Phil with a 17metre chip-in on the 7th hole (also counted as NTP) and he has a movie pass courtesy of Yamba Cinemas to enjoy.

On the 2nd hole Sonia did well to win the jar of Dr John’s gourmet Relish for her NTP effort.

As the golf course is closed for renovations (green coring) on Tuesday, we will resume on Friday 13. Then we will be playing for extra goodies including the Munro Machines $100 cart service, Caperberry Cafe $20 meal and free professional golf lesson with Paul King along with all the regular prizes. Thanks to all our sponsors for their generosity.

See you Friday at 2.30 for shotgun tee off on the back nine holes in your most colourful Hawaiian (or another shirt).
