Cats and Kittens for adoption this week

We get all cats vet checked prior to adoption to make sure that we comply to the standards required by any pet shop. We have adopted out well over 1200 cats over the last 12 years and only a very very small percentage having developed any illness as a result of the change in environment but now we are being extremely careful. All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive.

My name is Erik; I was dumped in a box with 10 other kittens and our mother outside one of the committee member’s house. She had lots of cats of her own and just could not afford to take on all of us as well so we went into foster care. I have had an operation and with two others from the kitten house and now we are ready to find a wonderful loving home, all our friends will be having an operation soon. My name is Lorella; I was dumped in a box with three other kittens outside a house up near Whiporie. The person who found us could not afford to take us in so contacted Happy Paws Haven and they found someone to look after us. We are now about eight months old and we have all had an operation and had our needles, now we are ready to find a wonderful loving home. Tiggi, Tirri and Tilli were found in a park near some flats, they were taken to a pet shop who said they could not take then as they all have a twisted or kinked tail and were not perfectly normal kittens. The vet has said it is probably inherited and as it is not affecting our behaviour or our bodily functions we should be fine. We are a little shy when we meet strangers but as soon as we get to know them we turn into beautiful affectionate smoochy cats. We are normal playful curious mischievous kittens. Dogs for Adoption for this week

We get all dogs vet checked prior to adoption to make sure that we comply to the standards required by any pet shop. All our animals are microchipped, immunised and desexed as soon as possible after they arrive. All dogs are also tested to make sure that they do not have heart worm. We have rescued and adopted out well over 1300 dogs over the last 12 years.

Huey is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog cross like most herding dogs he wants to be a part of the family thus your pack. He prefers not to be left outside when his pack is inside. He can be a little shy of strangers but that does not last long as he is extremely affectionate, sookie, loyal and loving. He is an extremely smart dog and like all dogs needs to be exercised daily. Due to his intelligence he should do well at obedience, herding, scenting and tracking or just lazing around with you. He is a very loving and affectionate dog so is good with kids especially those who are school age. He would make a wonderful family or companion dog. My name is Jemma, I came here with five other greyhounds who were surrendered by their trainer because he could not care for us anymore. We have learnt to play and not take life so seriously any more. We love to zoom and can be mischievous at times. We love going for walks as long as it is not too far and playing with our toys. We are inquisitive putting our long noses into places we should not as we love learning new things. We can be very lazy and just want to sleep in the sun or to be lounge lizards when we can. We make excellent companions as we loved to be stroked. I love it when my carer comes to sit with me and I just put my head in her lap. Olson came to us in January 2017 with his brother as their owner was not able to find homes for them, they were about to go away and they could not find anywhere for them to be while away. They wanted to make sure they would go to good homes so they bought them out to Happy Paws Haven knowing they were safe here and the vet work would be done. Omar has already found a lovely home in Sydney’s outer west on a property at the edge of the Blue Mountains. Olson is very normal playful yet laid back young dog who still needs some training. He is very well socialised with other dogs and with people. He has a wonderful nature and is happy around young kids.
