Peter Gillespie and Brian Hall take GDSC Pairs

Our carnival was played in sunny conditions with a fresh breeze being typical Grafton winter weather.

Sponsors were Riverview Funerals, Lincoln Bennett, as well as GDSC and without such sponsors we would not have any carnivals. A full field of 56 bowlers played with a sprinkling of fellows from outside the area. It was nice to see Zone 1 President Tom Cross and Vice President Kevin Watts having a roll at GDSC.

After three games of play 5th prize went to Jason Brooks and Kevin Blanch with two wins and a large margin, 4th prize went to the consistent Peter Madden and Jamie Pye, 3rd prize went to Mal Myer and Ian Knox who crossed the bridge to collect the money, 2nd prize went to Squizzy Taylor with his new Rabbits and the popular Robbie Power who skipped well as usual. The big money went to the very consistent Peter Gillespie who was on the kitty all day who was supported by skipper Brian Hall who had a great day on the green.

Many thanks to helpers Leith Basset and Mark Walsh who made running the carnival much easier. GDSC are taking entries for our September carnival so if you want a game contact the club as this event is popular.
