With the barmy weather plenty of members came out and enjoyed the sunshine last Thursday with a maximum field chasing the Stableford competition prize money.
Winners of A Grade was our Pro John Wright who showed that practice really does pay off shooting 4 under 68 with no less than 6 birdies 40pts; 2nd was Wayne Rice with 40pts also on a count back and 3rd went to Terry Crowe with 40pts.
Dan Neill was the very last player to leave the course and was also the winner of B Grade with 38pts from Sid Mills 37pts on a c/b from Andy King.
In C Grade Dave Barnsley returned the score of the day with 41pts from Dennis Kelly with 38pts and 3rd went to Ray Scovell with 37pts.
Balls went to 35pts with 16 on the back 9.
Saturday Stableford
There were 132 players who enjoyed the ongoing sunshine, playing in two’s and making the round fly by with an average 18 holes taking around three hours.
John Daley returned the score of the day with 80 hits or 43pts giving him the A Grade prize, runner up was Terry Crowe with 39pts on a count back from Bruce Lulham.
In B Grade the winner was Bob Waldron with 38pts from Andy Bennett with 37pts on a c/b from Alan Syle.
Geoff Butler won C Grade with 42pts from Tony Moran 40pts and 3rd went to Dave Groth with 37pts on a c/b.
Balls went to 36pts with 18 or better on the back 9.
Next Saturday is the ANZAC medal and monthly medal with slots still available.
