Members of the Lawrence Over Fifties dropped in to the Lawrence Rural Fire Service with a box of ‘goodies’ to acknowledge the time and effort put in fighting fires locally in the past few weeks (pictured).  Fire Service representative Paul Simpson was on hand to accept the gifts. Over Fifties president Maureen King, explained, “ We know the ‘firies’ have been under pressure lately with so many fires, and they are doing a great job. We just wanted to let them know how much we appreciate them.”
