Osprey RSL Valentines Day activity

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentines Day at Osprey on Friday. There is no doubt that a lovely fresh white tablecloth adds an air of poshness, and that combined with posies of pastel pink and lilac on each table, was icing on the cake.

It is a well-known fact that you do not like large table centres that block your view across the table. Heaven forbid that we should stifle face to face conversation; and let’s face it there’s lots of chatter. In my case it makes lip reading difficult!

Seriously though, it was nice to acknowledge Valentines Day and cast our minds back to special memories, favourite love songs and the long-forgotten niceties of yesteryear.

Geraldine introduced a new craft activity into the program last week which by all accounts was most successful and enjoyed enormously. They made large heart shaped fridge magnets in various designs and colours of choice.

Next week Bev D will present a flower making craft activity in Geraldine’s absence. This is a wonderful diversion we are offering for those seeking a change from cards and Rummikub. It is also an excellent chance to get to know fellow members better. Your feedback of course is important, and suggestions for other activities are always welcome.

The all-important raffle results were as follows:

1st to Beryl sensibly chose the Roses chocolates; 2nd to Maureen for a Free Day Pass; 3rd to Edward for a Free Day Pass; 4th to darling Joe for a mini hamper. You are my favourite Bingo caller this week; I won apricot jam (no marmalade) and toothpaste. Well done sunshine.

That’s all folks.
