Our Christmas party on Friday (December 13) will be our last meeting for the year, so let’s make it a fantastic day for everyone. We have enjoyed planning your special day, so go to bed early Thursday, squeeze into your best Christmas regalia, put on your dancing shoes and a smile on your dial, and I guarantee you will have a day to remember.
This will be my last editorial for the year, but I will put a reminder in the paper in time to jog your memory for our new year start date on February 7.
Before closing I would like to say to anyone out there who would like to join Osprey Club next year, to come along on our first day back. We will make you so welcome and you will make new friends and have the time of your life. Just ring Leanne (0413 101 518) and she will organise everything for you, including the bus to get you to and from the bowling club if required. I think it is a wonderful complement to the group when members are complaining that they will miss our Friday meets over the break. It is heart warming to see how many people have formed such wonderful friendships within the club. The increased volume of chatter is certainly a good indicator. Some members meet regularly at the raffles and now have a lovely long table of Osprey friends to share the evening. That too tells me our Club is working, and working well; bringing together so many people in so many ways.
We were so sorry to hear Heather D has had a nasty fall. Keep your chin up; just lap up all the attention and hopefully we will see you back in the new year. Much love to you and best wishes for the festive season from all your friends at Osprey. Heather, you could jazz up your crutches for Christmas and paint them like red and white candy canes!
OK everybody. That’s it for the year. Merry Christmas and a happy and holy New Year.
