Osprey RSL Day Club

It only seems like yesterday I was sitting here tapping away. I can’t seem to catch up with all the things I have to do; it’s a bit like painting the Harbour Bridge, I just get to one end and have to start again at the other end. That being said, it will be Friday before I know it and I will once again be able to enjoy your company and friendly banter.

Last Friday was truly a fun day and there was that great feeling of camaraderie floating in the air. We welcomed Mary, another new member, and hopefully she will bring her mum along next week to check us out. We are slowly creeping toward that 50 mark which is so encouraging. Of course, there are a few members still in lock down; poor darlings. Take heart though, you will soon be free to join us again.

Joe has been on the sick list, and I am happy to report that he will possibly be fit for light duties next Friday. In view of the fact that Joe has been giving freely of his services to this club for more than 20 years…….yes 20 years…… we may allow him to just relax and enjoy the benefits our members enjoy each and every week. But after that mate you’re on full duties.

Winners are grinners. Heather A chose the chocolates for the lucky door prize; Barbara chose the $20 Coles voucher, and Marie chose a free day at Osprey; Pat was the lucky participant in the Pick-a-Box and won pretty tea towels.

Anyone wishing to either become a member, or be a volunteer at Osprey, please ring Leanne for details on 0413 101 518.
