Hi everyone. My apologies for not factoring in my weekly editorial to my extremely busy long weekend last week, but I was in Sydney spending time with my nieces, grandchildren and friends. It was a fantastic getaway and I learnt some amazing things which I will share with you all next week. One amazing thing was an APP which my niece installed on my phone, it is called Trip View Lite and it displays all the train, bus and ferry timetables for wherever you want to go and it tells you the platform number too. I think we have been sheltered too long! It was remarkable, I went from Mosman to Oran Park in one hour and had to change trains twice and there was either a train waiting for me or just arriving at each connection. What an APP.
I understand you managed quite well without me despite the fact there were other volunteers away too. I also heard that it was said “while the cats away, the mice will play” and no exercises were done at all! Not happy Jan. Pat can go straight to the “naughty corner” because she was supposed to tell you to do five extra push-ups and run on the spot for five minutes.
What a fun day it was on Friday with that game we played concerning the contents of our handbags, pockets and wallets. I reckon I should have won with that little wad of tooty paper I had, considering all this coronavirus issue and I had a pet rock that was given to me on the weekend! I must say it has prompted me to clean out my bag.
Thanks to the kitchen staff for those beautiful large muffins we had for morning tea last week. They were scrumptious. The quiche, salad and chips made for a delightful lunch.
So it seems a perfect day was had by all; good food, good company, fun and laughter.
Thank you Col for those lovely hibiscus flowers from your garden. You are a treasure.
Please take this coronavirus threat seriously. It is imperative that you wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face as much as possible. Stay safe.
