Op Shop thanks community

Lynne Mowbray | The RE Serve Op Shop in Wharf Street, Maclean wishes to thank the community for supporting their recent promotion to help out the farmers affected by the drought. At the end of August the Op Shop put out a challenge to other Op Shops in the valley to donate the sales from one week of trading, to the farmers drought appeal. RE Serve Op Shop administrator Robyn Wood said that she was happy with the amount that was raised. “We are pleased to announce that during the first week of September we raised $4000, which has been donated to the Australian Red Cross’s ‘Help the Aussie Farmers Appeal’, Ms Wood said. “A big thankyou is extended to the people of the Clarence Valley, who supported the appeal with purchases and donations,” she said.
