Local Woodford Island artists Jenni Peardon and Stacey Conridge are happy to announce that their exhibition of lower Clarence landscape paintings is on display from 5th September to the 20th October at the Grafton Regional Gallery.
Locals and visitors will recognise and enjoy the familiar locations and many people in the lower Clarence would be familiar with the sight of the two female artists siting at their easels in parks, headlands and roadsides around the area, and now is your chance to see exactly what they have been up to.
The exhibition is called “On any Wednesday” and is a collection of plein-air (‘in the open air’) work that the two artists have produced together over the last two years on their regular Wednesday landscape painting expeditions. On display are more than 60 art works from various locations around the lower Clarence valley including Iluka, Yamba, Brooms Head, Maclean and Woodford Island.
The body of work offers a particularly interesting perspective on the lower Clarence area as it displays the same landscapes by two different artists with two different techniques and interpretations.
