‘Old bones… but good scores’

Isn’t it great that the weather is warming up and allowing the old bones to work appropriately to produce something that resembles a “golf swing”?

Well this happened last Tuesday when Palm Lake golfers competed for the August monthly medal.

Results were close with the winner being Ken Hall on a countback from Bob Oddy, both on a nett 35.5. Third was Terry Wilson on 36. Best putter on the day was Ken Hall with 14 puts for the nine holes.

NTPs on 10th, 12th and 17th all went to our sharp-shooter Bob Oddy. One would think that he might ease up just a little after his hole in one a couple of weeks back but no, his focus is still right up there. Well done mate!

Back to Stableford for the rest of the month, so tune up your game to end up on the podium.
