Nominate a volunteer

Do you know an RFS, SES or other emergency services volunteer or professional who has gone the extra mile to support and assist their local community during challenging times?

If you do, Member for Clarence Chris Gulaptis is urging you to put their names forward. Mr Gulaptis has announced nominations for the 2021 Rotary Clubs and Districts of NSW Emergency Services Community Awards are now open.

“The awards recognise our frontline emergency services personnel for services above and beyond the call of duty,” he said. The awards also recognise the dedication and service of emergency service personnel and volunteers from Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, NSW State Emergency Services, NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, Marine Rescue NSW and Surf Life Saving NSW.

“Every emergency service member who has served their community through floods, bush fires and the Covid-19 pandemic deserve our thanks and this is a fantastic opportunity to show our gratitude,” Mr Gulaptis said.

“I would encourage everyone to recognise their local heroes by nominating them for an award for their service.” Nominations close on May 9 and the finalists will be announced on June 16. Members of the public and emergency service workers are encouraged to submit nominations online via the awards website at nsw.rescawards.org.au.
