No golfers…you are not seeing things

The picture cannot lie. Blue sky, sunshine and a rapidly drying course meant the frustrated golfers of Maclean were once again let out to enjoy the game they love.

Playing a seventeen-hole Stableford, Fraser Marsh just came out on top with 40 points. Just behind was our guest from Howlong Golf Club, Stephen Follington with 39 points. Leigh Barrington on 37 points came creditable third.

Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole was Paul Bamback – hitting his new driver, whilst Mark Rae made do with a high floaty six iron to within a foot on the 7th. Stephen Follington added to his second-place prize with a very close one on the 11th. Our winner Fraser Marsh hit a bit of a lucky one on the 17th with a convenient ricochet leaving him within touching distance of the pin.

Ball prizes down to 31 points where Bob Harvey was the last lucky winner.

Unfortunately, the storms of Saturday night have temporarily made the course unplayable again, but we hope to reopen by this weekend.
