New menu for Yamba Shores Tavern – focus on families

The Yamba Shores Tavern has revamped their menu and now offers their customers a choice of value packed meal deals.

Yamba Shores Tavern owner Matt Muir said that they have been listening to their customers and taken their feedback on board by rolling back their prices.

“We’re getting back to our roots and focusing on our core customer base, which is our families and our seniors,” Mr Muir said.

“We’ve taken some of our tavern favourites, the things that people really like and we’re offering those at $15 – all day, every day.

“Our $15 everyday options like the chicken schnitzel with beer battered chips would be one of our highest selling dishes. This dish used to be around $24 and we’ve brought it right down to $15. Our YST Nachos are extremely popular and we’re doing a 200 gram rump with beer battered chips for $15. One of the dishes which we introduced over summer was the bucket of hot wings, which was extremely popular and we’ve also added that in there as well.

“These are some of our top selling menu items which were priced well over $20 and are now just $15.

“By doing this, mum and dad can go out with the two kids, and for $50, they can feed the family.

“That’s two $15 meals and two $10 kids’ meals, equates to $50 – so that’s extremely good value.

“With our seniors we’ve launched the $10 senior meals –all day every day.

“We’ve found that most seniors don’t tend to eat as much; they like smaller size meals and I don’t see why they should have to come to a venue and pay $20 plus, for a meal that they’re not going to eat in its entirety because it’s too big. So obviously these meals are reflective of that size and aligned to what seniors are looking for.

“There’s a selection of three meals to choose from: crumbed whiting with beer battered chips and salad; house made lasagne with salad and crumbed lamb cutlet with gravy, beer battered chips and salad. By simply presenting their Seniors Card, our seniors will pay just $10 for those meals.

“We will also be carrying on with our daily meal deals for which we are making a few changes over the next couple of weeks. One of the changes will include a (homemade) pie and a pint (or glass of house wine) for $12,” he said.

Why not get along and check out the new menu for yourself at the Yamba Shores Tavern. You’ll be sure to find that there’s something for everyone.
