Missing man’s body found near Whitemans Creek

A body has been located during a search for a man missing in the state’s north.

The 37-year-old was last seen in Kyogle about 11am on Thursday 13 August 2020.

His family notified officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District when he couldn’t be located or contacted.

Following inquiries, the man’s vehicle was located by police on Wednesday (2 September 2020) near Whiteman Creek Road midway between Copmanhurst and Grafton.

Earlier on Saturday 12 September, police were notified that family members searching for the man located a body in the Whiteman Creek area.

While the body has not been identified, it’s believed to be the missing man.

Initial inquiries suggest the death is not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
