The Clarence Medical Centre in Maclean has just opened a second surgery in Yamba.
The new surgery opened on Monday this week, at 12 Clarence Street, Yamba [opposite the ‘top of the hill’ restaurant precinct] and will be a welcomed asset all of Yamba residence who require to see a GP.
The surgery will be serviced by Dr Eric Davey, Dr Simon Grewcock and Dr Maggie Simpson, with additional doctors arriving in 2018.
Practice manager Angela Bliss said that the new practice is looking forward to providing a full medical service in Yamba,
“Up until now, we only had a temporary clinic day at Treelands Drive one day a fortnight or our Yamba patients have had to travel to Maclean for their medical appointments,” Ms Bliss said.
“The new practice will also provide a much needed service for holiday makers, looking for a GP.
“At the moment we will be open three days a week [days may vary at the start] from 8.30am – 5.30pm, until the end of the year, with plans to opening full time by 2018.
“In 2018 a new doctor joining would like to focus on women’s health which currently, patients requiring this service travel to Grafton. Dr Simpson will also be expanding her cosmetic procedures in our Yamba rooms.
“The new practice will cover all aspects of family health,” she said.
