Maclean’s Sheree Forsythe and Kim Moore take top prizes at Northern Rivers Tournament

Maclean Ladies Golf are thrilled to congratulate Sheree Forsythe and Kim Moore on their great wins at the 2016 Northern Rivers Tournament held at Grafton.
Sheree took out the Champion of Champions and was also the gross winner of the 36 hole competition with a great 86 on Monday and 84 off the stick on Tuesday. Kim was the winner of the Div 2 gross and also had the best nett by far with a 70 nett on Monday and a 67 on Tuesday. Molly Plunkett also took out the best gross for Div 2 on Tuesday and Maclean won both the four person teams event on Monday and the three person teams event on Tuesday. We had seven ladies playing in the tournament and everyone came home with a prize. Special mention must also go to Sally Weeks who played for the first time in the tournament and did exceptionally well. We thank the Grafton Ladies for their great welcome and hospitality.
We had a small field for our competition at Maclean due to the tournament and the Maclean Vets Week of Golf. Our winner was Kate Hemmy and r/up Carol Young. NTP’s: 2nd Sally Weeks, 7th Jan Adlard, 11th Kate Hemmy and 17th Joy Studdon. Club Balls went to Cathie Parker, Mary Wiseman, Joy Studdon and Nancy Commerford. Our sponsor was the Maclean Vets.
The ladies also want to congratulate the Maclean Vets for the great job they have done in the Week of Golf. It was very professionally run and all our visitors had a great time and left with promises to return in 2017. Bruce and Megan Walsh have done a incredible job over the last few years and together with a large band of volunteers from the club have established Maclean on the vets circuit.
Wednesday July 27 we play our annual 4BBB Knockout qualifier. Our sponsor for this day is Kim Moore. The best eight teams will go on to play off over the next month till we have our winners so good luck to all.
