Congratulations to the team consisting of Joyce Cotton, Liz Pearcey, Pauline Stockings and R (Wendy) Haselum (skip) who won the Club Selected Fours competition at Maclean Women’s Bowling Club on Thursday October 27 when they defeated Dot Newton, Narelle Phelps, Daph Robson and Ivy Whitney (skip) 21-18. In the semi-finals on Tuesday October 25 Wendy’s team defeated L Bodycote, V Beddow, G Parsons and K Hudson 22-13 and Ivy’s team defeated B Owen, J Johnston, L Sheppard and C Byrum 23-14 (consolation prize). The next L J Hooker game is on Tuesday November 8 and entries close on Sunday November 6. There will be a general meeting after bowls. Presentation night for championship winners is on Saturday November 19 starting at 6pm for 7pm. There is a sheet on the board for names, closing on Thursday November 10.
