Maclean women’s golf held their Opening Day for the 2022 competition year on Wednesday February 2 with “perfect” weather and playing conditions, hot, humid and a Stroke round to commence the season.
A huge welcome back to all our players and new players for this year, including Vicki Davies, Sue Moten and a special welcome back to Judy Parkes. We so missed you Judy and I’m sure you’ll entertain us again with your spontaneous humour and wit.
Sonia Bonnacorsi celebrated her 60th birthday during our summer break and we wished her a happy birthday for the special occasion.
We had 31 players in the field and considering the hot and humid conditions, that was a great number for our 1st Monthly Medal Stroke round. Our sponsors for the day were Hennie Taranto and Helen Graney. Thank you for your sponsorship and the great raffle prizes provided for the day.
