Maclean women’s bowls – Consistency Singles

Congratulations to Kerrie Hudson who defeated Monica Parker on Tuesday October 15 to win the Consistency Singles. There is a sheet on the board for the Club Championship Triples starting on Thursday November 7 with entries closing on Sunday October 27.The proposed trip to Mount Tamborine has been cancelled as there were not enough members wishing to go to make it viable.

It was announced that Royal NSW Bowls is now non-gender specific and women can play in men’s championships. See the secretary if interested.

There is a sheet on the board for Ham and Turkey Day on Tuesday December 3 for which names must be in by Sunday December 1. The Christmas party on Tuesday December 10 will involve a different format with tables of six having a country of the world as a theme.

The first round of the Minor Singles was played on Thursday October 17 and Sandra Youlten defeated Phyllis Barclay in a great display of Singles match play.

The raffle was won by K Hudson who was also celebrating her birthday.

There was a good attendance for the Ray White Scroungers on Thursday October 17 and the winner was D Burey. Second was F Butcher, third was K Hudson and fourth was M Mutch.
