Maclean WBC Major Minor Fours entries open

What a wonderful week of bowls, with all of us enjoying the divine weather and also enjoying being back to playing in the mornings.

We had a good turnout on Tuesday with the winners Fiona Butcher, Liz Pearcey and Pauline Stockings with the runners up being Cheryl Johnson, Narelle Phelps and Vicki Falvely. Well done ladies.

The winner of our raffle, the first since Covid hit us, was Leone Bodycote, congratulations, a fitting prize for being the seller of the tickets.

On Thursday, another great day to be on the green, saw another good turn up for Ray White Scroungers. Once again there were some very tight games with the winners of each rink playing off in a three end final.

The winner was Wendy Haselum, with Margaret Durante and Fiona Butcher tying for 2nd place. Well played all of you. The winner of the large bottle of wine was Sue Grieve with Bev Owen winning the small bottle of wine.

Entry forms are up for next Tuesday and Thursday so get your names in the nights before.

Our Major Minor Fours entry form is up on the board, please note that the entry must be paid before it is put up on the board. Money to be given to Janice, in an envelope please, with your team on it. Get your teams together as quickly as possible so that you are guaranteed a game, as this carnival tends to fill quickly.

The proposed Pennant teams are on the board and I ask you to check to see if you are in the team.

If you have any questions please direct them to Judy Parkes.
