Maclean VIEW Club ladies were very well represented at the International Women’s Day at Yamba which was a very interesting and informative occasion. Thank you to all the ladies who made slices and cakes and helped on the day. We said a very fond farewell to Jacqui Cooper at our last meeting. Jacqui has been a hugely supportive member, taking on many committee roles, the last being that of Club’s President. We wish her luck in her new location. Our guest for the March meeting was Leslie McFarlane who conducted a very challenging trivia quiz, which certainly tested our history knowledge, some of her questions including a little bit of a modern twist which added to the fun. Our Mother’s Day stall at Bunnings, Grafton on May 7 will be one of our fund raisers for the year, with all moneys raised going to the Learning for Life students who VIEW club members support. We need plenty of goodies to sell, so please start baking. Please include the ingredients on your cakes, slices etc. Ladies can you please phone Rhonda on 6645 1476 if you know of any member who is sick, in hospital, or celebrating a special birthday/anniversary so she can send a card. Our guest speaker for April will be Mark Duckworth, the new Maclean SES controller.
