Last Monday was our monthly medal once again and a good field contested the event.

There was a field of 34 golfers to hit off and Graham Howard proved to be the best on the day with 37 points to win the day, the pen and the $40 Spar voucher. Runner up with 35 points was Patrick Vacchiano and in 3rd place was Cathy Ayres also with 35 points.

Club balls went to Elena Roylance –35, Cathy Parker, Steve McKenzie, Terry Mitchell and Bob Harvey all with 33, and Leigh Barrington, John O’Keeffe and Marlene Roberts with 32. Nearest the pins were won by Doug Hudson and Elena Roylance on the 2nd, Cathy Ayres and Stewart Hase on the 7th, Chris Forrester on the 11th and Kate Hemmy on the 17th.

Please note that our next game will be on Monday July 29. This is transferred to the 29th from the 22nd because of a three day ladies event starting on the 22nd.

Also by the time this goes to print we will be in the middle of our annual Vets ‘Week of Golf’. Good weather is forecast and the course is in sparkling condition so everyone should have a great time and enjoy their golf. We have had great sponsorship for this event from local business houses and a list of all these sponsors will be published at the conclusion of the tournament.
