Maclean Show Society – Cattle Dog Trials

The Maclean Show Society hosted their ‘Cattle Dog Trials’ event, at the Maclean Showground over the weekend.
Event organiser Robbie Sutherland said that competitors travelled from as far away as Dubbo to compete in the weekend’s events.
“We had 150 entries in the Maiden Novice event and 120 in the Open,” said Mr Sutherland.
“We’re very pleased with the roll up, this year and the weather was pretty good.
“All in all it was a very successful event,” he said.
The Happy Davis Memorial Maiden event was won by Jimmy Connelly of Woodford Island, with Dick Chapman winning the Novice and Robert Johnson taking out the Open Trial event.
