Geoff Helisma Over the past month or so, several Maclean residents have expressed their view that the Maclean State Emergency Service (SES) has ceased to operate in Maclean. According to a NSW SES spokesperson this is not the case. “The Maclean Unit is not closing down,” the spokesperson wrote in an emailed response to the Independent’s enquiry. “They have relocated training to the Yamba Unit until repairs to their building can be undertaken. “The operational response is being maintained.”
