The Maclean Rotary Club presented their ‘Carols Under the Big Top’, on Saturday evening at St Joseph’s Primary School, Maclean.
The annual event was once again hosted by MC Connor Willmore, who did a wonderful job of engaging with the crowd.
Maclean Scottish Town Dance Studio kicked off the evening program with a Christmas dance item.
Other artists and groups included: the Maclean Primary School recorders, Maclean Primary School band, soloist Anne Grey, junior vocal choir, boys choir, soloist Piper Ramsey and the teenage vocal choir all joining with the community in the singing of carols.
Santa’s arrival, had excited children gathering to meet him.
Santa asked the crowd if they had had any rain in the last couple of days, because he’d heard that the drought here was really bad, so he brought some ice from the North Pole and dropped it out of his sleigh as he flew over.
Those attending the carols got into the spirit of the evening, joining in with the singing which was accompanied by the magnificent Maclean Music Academy Orchestra and conducted by Sister Anne Gallagher.
Special thanks go to the following sponsors of this year’s event: Maclean Rotary Club, SPAR Maclean, Maclean Music Academy and St Joseph’s Primary School.
