After calling for input and suggestions, Clarence Valley Council has identified several key points that will help guide the development of the project as we move into the detailed design stage.
Project updates:
▪️ A formal bus bay will be added along Argyle St to provide a safe drop-off point for school and community buses, ensuring a safe location for children to access the Maclean Olympic Pool.
▪️ The proposed kerb extension at the unmarked crossing on McLachlan St has been removed from the design and replaced with a kerb ramp near the intersection, connecting to the pool and Argyle St footpath.
▪️ The existing footpath will be extended along Argyle St, connecting to the footpath at Centenary Drive and Argyle St.
▪️ The kerb build-out at the intersection, including the ‘No Entry’ will be extended along McLachlan St to replace the on-road section and create a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists travelling along McLachlan St.
