Maclean Patchwork and Quilters

‘Life is full of challenges’. These words have never been truer than over the past few weeks. Our first challenge was to make the decision to postpone our ‘Airing of the Quilts’ on the Easter weekend until the Pandemic situation was resolved.

Within days we were faced with our second challenge.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic we can no longer gather as a group so we had to meet this challenge with alternative arrangements to suit the situation. The members of Maclean Patchwork and Quilters have all taken on the challenge. We were in the middle of producing many quilts for our fire victims, as this was a priority, each member is completing this challenge in their own homes.

To keep the communication lines open we are texting and emailing each other on our progress. Once completed, these quilts are photographed and sent onto our blog co-ordinator, who then posts them on line for all to see. Updates on the pandemic situation and how it affects our group and the progress of all our projects, will appear on our blog.

To view our Blog go online to MacleanPatchworkandQuilters and see all the wonderful quilts been produced by our members. Add comments and choose your favourite,

We may not be able to meet physically as a group but that will not stop us from grouping together, metaphorically, to reach our goals.

Again, we thank all those folk who donated fabric etc for our quilt drive. We will be kept busy during this uncertain time. Stay safe and well.
