It has been a while, and we are now into another new year.

Many of us can be thankful for mother nature’s ongoing company, and for keeping us reflectively active. May we keep safe, well, and encouraged in 2021.

At our January meeting, a variety of 50 beautiful plants were benched. Judges’ Choice Orchid, Papilionanda Sheddy Hinds ‘Yellow Bird’, Terry & Penny Bird. Popular Vote Orchid, a tie, between Sue King’s Stanhopea Jack Quigley and Terry & Penny Bird’s Paphiopedilum Saint Swithin ‘Jill’. Both Judges’ Choice Flower and Popular Vote to Brian Donaghy’s Dahlia Ann’s Delight.

Next meeting is Saturday February 20. Members are asked to continue to register with secretary, Sue. Plants are benched by 1pm for the judging. The meeting begins at 1.30pm at Presbyterian Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean.

Lucky door and raffle prizes are included, plus afternoon tea.
