Maclean Lions gives back to the community

Despite the last financial year being a strange one with us feeling the side effects of Covid, Maclean Lions was able to distribute funds received from various fund-raising activities including the monthly community markets, the weekly Saturday meat raffle held at the Maclean Bowls Club, and the Christmas trolley raffle, back into the community.

Every dollar raised is returned to the community, all administrative costs are borne by the club members The recipients included seven of the junior schools in the Lower Clarence Valley, SES, RFS, LC Eisteddfod, LC Magpie Rugby Club, we sent two children to Camp Getaway, Maclean Pipe Band, and Lawrence Over 50’s Club.

Maclean Lions takes this opportunity of thanking all, because none of this would have been possible, without the continuous and generous support of the local community.
