Maclean High School supports Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

This year was the 26th year of fundraising for the Cancer Council’s fundraiser for cancer research and Maclean High school showed their support on Wednesday May 22.

The Year 10 Student Representative Council (SRC) ran a cake and hot chocolate stall at recess and the Maclean High School staff added their support by holding an event during the normal Wednesday morning tea staff meeting. Many staff generously baked delicious sweet and savory treats and each staff member donated $5 on entry. A lucky door prize was donated for the event. A phenomenal $600 was raised and donated to the Cancer Council to help research to cure and prevent cancer.

Maclean High School has been supporting the Cancer Council’s biggest morning tea fundraiser for many years. Since 2014 Maclean High School staff and students have contributed approximately $3500. Thanks to all the SRC representatives who helped and baked for this event. Many thanks, also, to those who donated.
