At our February meeting, 86 beautiful plants were benched, to admire, and for assessment.

Both Judges’ Choice Orchid and Popular Vote went to Terry & Penny Bird’s Vanda falcata x V. unknown; and both Judges’ Choice and Popular Vote Flower went to Brian Donaghy’s Tacca integrifolia. Before long, members will be preparing for our first Autumn Show for a while, to take place at the Maclean Bowls Club dining area, on Friday April 30 and Saturday May 1.

Our next meeting is Saturday March 20, at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Church Street, Maclean. Due to restrictions being eased, there is no need for members to pre-register. Plants are benched by 1pm for the judging, then at 1.30pm the meeting begins. Lucky door and raffle prizes are included, plus afternoon tea.
