Through your pages and a Joyce Clague letter I learned of the passing of Lionel Phelps (CVI 21/11/18).
I had the privilege of working with Lionel on the body that saw the emergence of the enhanced University of New England and subsequently Southern Cross University.
The wider education community, as well as the NE of NSW, owe Lionel Phelps a significant debt of gratitude for his contribution to a generation of learners. Joyce Clague’s comments also are endorsed.
