LCACA Annual Small Works Competitive Exhibition

LCACA’s Annual Small Works Exhibition, the “8 x 8” is in action once more. The theme The Source – a place-a seed or just an idea” has fired the imagination, and entries have flooded in from all over the country. 

Upon entry, artists were provided with an 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20cm) canvas to interpret the theme of  “The Source”, resulting in a diverse exhibition of mixed media works, including painting, textile, glass, stitching and collage. It was a mammoth job handling over 172 works, but they are all hung making Ferry Park Gallery look quite festive. 

The exhibition’s opening and prizegiving is at 6pm on Friday, March 28. The junior section will have their prizegiving the following morning at 2pm, Saturday March 29.

The exhibition is held during the Plunge Festival and open daily throughout April. Entry is free.

Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association Inc (LCACA) is a not-for-profit community organisation promoting and showcasing artisans of the Clarence Valley. LCACA opened Ferry Park Gallery in 1993 for members to display and sell their work. LCACA welcome new members to join us as an exhibitor or volunteer to work in our gallery.
