Our 2015 Match Play is under way and a few early results are for the 18 holers, Denis Hardwick over John McCormack 3/1, Aaron Patterson over Peter Honey 5/4, and Wayne Rush over James Welsh 2/1. In the 9 holers Doc Foster over Edna Jackson 1 up. We encourage everyone to complete their matches as soon as possible. The Wednesday Chook Run was won by Kerry Cook with net 20 and the r/up was Col Want with net 30 on a c/b from Denis Hardwick. NTP on the 4th went to Denis Hardwick and on the 5th to John McCormack. Kevin Ricketts took out least putts with 14. Saturday, 12th September was the ladies 9 hole competition. The winner with net 40 was Lyn Fisher and the r/up Lynne Dickens with net 44 in a 4- way c/b. NTP was taken out by Pat Harris and least putts went to Nancy Commerford with 15. Please note that next weekend the ladies are travelling to Tenterfield so there will not be the normal Saturday competition. Sunday, 13th September was a Stroke event sponsored by Maclean Hotel. The 9 hole winner with net 38 was Doc Foster and the r/up with net 40 James Austen. The 18 hole winner, who has had a very successful week of golf, was Kerry Cook with net 64 and the r/up Anthony Nagle with net 66 after a super round of 76 off the stick. The O’Halloran Motors, John Deere Lawn Care sponsored NTP on the 4th went to Nea Daniels for the ladies and Warren Hulme for the men and on the 5th to Gary Rankin. The Maclean Motors sponsored least putts with 13 was taken out by Anthony Nagle in a 3- way c/b. Club Balls went to Shane Rose, Gary Rankin and Barry Burgess. The Money Tree was won by Bert, one of our visitors from Grafton Hotel Social Golf Club, who came out to enjoy our little course and had a great day out. Next Sunday, 20th September is our annual Open Foursomes Championship sponsored by Lawrence General Store. This will be followed at 12.30pm by a celebration for Dudley Brown who recently passed away.
