Saturday ladies was a Stroke event won by Sue Fong Kee (nett 42) beating Kerry Cook (nett 44).
Nearest the pin was the day’s winner Sue with Bev Ensbey coming in with least putts (14).
Nice chip-in Bev on the 7th.
Sunday men’s were Stroke events, sponsored by Maclean Tyrepower. The event also doubled up for the President versus Vice President contest with the 9th monthly medal also up for grabs.
The 9-hole comp was won by Col Wheeler (nett 34) on a countback beating Col Want on the same score.
The 18-hole event was taken out by Peter Starr (nett 75) defeating Theo Sheppard (nett 78).
Peter Starr was nearest the pin on the 5th and also in the clubhouse with the least putts (13).
Club balls want to Arnold Boon and Kaine King.
Arthur King took out the monthly medal and the Vice-President’s team won the day 37 to 40.
Next week’s event is a 2-man Ambrose sponsored by the Maclean Hotel – players to pick partners.
