We managed to have a small weigh in on May 22 even with the normally beautiful Clarence River running a bit brown and our members had to venture further afield to catch their fish.
The weigh in was held at The Lawrence Tavern at 1pm, with 10 members registering but only four managing to land fish. There were six bream and three flathead caught in estuary. Deep sea was fished by Ben Geide who caught two snapper, one pearl perch, one parrot and one Moses perch.
The winners were Alan Cannon winning men’s division and The Shorty Memorial Shield. The shield was presented by Andrew Mulla, on behalf of the Short family.
Maureen King won the woman’s division. Stephen King took out the Secret Weight. Ben Geide won the deep-sea division.
Congratulations to all the members.
The club members draw was won by member #22 Sam who was not present.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next outing weekend on Saturday & Sunday June 4-5. We hope our waterways are a little cleaner by then.
