Lawrence Bluff Point Quilters Annual Exhibition

The Lawrence Bluff Point Quilters Annual Exhibition is on in September this year. Saturday September 9 is the date for all quilting enthusiasts and admirers alike. The Lawrence Hall Doors will open at 9.30am and the exhibition will run through the day. Long time quilter Rae Harrison explained,” The Bluff Point Quilters are a small group of around 8-10 ladies who come together once a week to share a love of patchwork, quilting and even knitting. The Annual Exhibition is an opportunity for display their wonderful selection of quilts.” “Although many of the quilts are for exhibit only, there will be a few available for sale. One of the features is the Annual Challenge among the members. This year the challenge was a miniature quilt, which will be raffled on the day, so one lucky visitor will take the miniature quilt home.” The Lawrence Bluff Point Quilters Annual Exhibition has become key date on the Clarence Valley calendar, filling the Lawrence Hall with over 100 quilts on display. The exhibition offers interest and entertainment for everyone, with continuous displays and demonstrations of patchwork. Intrepid bargain hunters can delight in finding a treasure at Trash and Treasure Stall. The Bluff Point Quilters offer a country welcome to all and admission includes morning tea or afternoon tea, with homemade cakes. Funds raised by the Exhibition go towards the Lawrence Museum.
