Kevin Moran wins the day at Palm Lake

Our September monthly medal was a hotly contested event on a great day with the course in excellent condition. What else could an old golfer want?

Before I get to the winners there is a need to acknowledge that the greens were consistent but challenging, to the extent that the best putter, Kevin Moran, managed 16 puts for the 9 holes compared to 13 and 14 in previous months. Even so, there were plenty of 17 puts recorded and good scores overall.

Kevin Moran won the day with a nett 33.5 on a countback from Peter Jarman, with Graham Meany taking third place with 34.

NTPs again saw Kevin Moran feature on the 10th, Alex Miltiadou won on the 12th, while George Key hit the pin but just stayed out to win on the difficult 17th.

It will be back to Stableford for the next few rounds, so if you are interested in joining us for a relaxing 9 holes on a Tuesday morning simply be at the course at 7.30am to join our group.
