Jacarandas candidates line up
The 2017 Jacaranda Festival kicked off on Sunday afternoon with the annual ‘Meet and Greet’ afternoon tea, which was held at the Grafton District Services Club.
The event which is usually reserved for the Jacaranda committee, family and friends, was open this year to the general public.
Each of the 2016 Jacaranda Queens party spoke briefly, before this year’s eight Jacaranda Queen Candidates, were presented to the gathering.
The candidates introduced themselves to the crowd, before receiving their tiaras and official name badge.
Three of the six junior party candidates were also introduced before afternoon tea was served, giving everyone the opportunity mingle.
