Ed,
If our present Clarence Valley Council really has cut the number of Community Committees from 10 down to 4 Committees, surely some of our decision makers have still not yet joined the dots about the massive ramifications of ever worsening climate change.
Climate change arguably is now the world’s greatest threat to humanity.
Each succeeding climate catastrophe results in more frequent and severe climate extremes such as unprecedented flooding, on-going sea level rise, storms, cyclones, coastal erosion, or wildfires.
What more will it take for our decision makers to look at the rapidly increasing cost of home insurance and consider the ramifications for their children’s and grandchildren’s future?
How many more severe climate events or phone calls from distressed parents and grandparents will it take before our decision makers establish a Community Committee to specifically deal only with climate change?
The future is what you choose, while there is still time to choose.
