Invitations out for Maclean Showgirls competition

Pat Fordham The Maclean Show Society are putting the call out for local girls and young ladies to enter the Maclean Showgirl competition. The Society are looking for girls and ladies for both the junior and senior competitions. The Junior age group competes between the ages of 14-18 years and the Senior ladies compete between 18-24 years of age. The aim of the competition is to encourage young women across the region to get involved in the agricultural scene, while also assisting them with personal growth and development. Judging day and dinner is set for March 27 at the Maclean Showgrounds, where all entrants will be present. The girls will gain valuable life skills and hopefully experience a great day at the show. Application forms are available from the ASC website or from Happy Creations Maclean. Application forms will need to be returned to ‘Nicole’ by March 15, either by dropping in at Happy Creations or via her email, nicolejcowling@outlook.com. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the organisers will be unable to accept applications on the day. If you know a young lady who would be interested in competing in the event, Nicole Cowling will be available to have a chat about the competition and help with the application processes on 0438 170 595.
