Information Day on Native Bees

Promoting the value of native bees in our community.

When: Saturday October 26 from 9:30am – 3:30pm.

Where: Healing Centre, 18-26 Victoria Street Grafton.

  • Guest speaker Dr Ramina Rader Lecturer in Community Ecology (Plant-Animal Interactions) – School of Environmental and Rural Science from University of New England. Researcher in plant–animal interactions in natural and human-modified landscapes; the impacts of land-use change on biodiversity, pollination of blueberries by native & honey bees.
  • Native bee hive split / duplication demonstration.
  • Other guess speakers on Australian native bees, solitary bees, honey bees, plants suitable for bees & local gardens.

Lunch, tea & coffee provided.

Cost: Non members $40; members $10 (if joined before 18th October 2019); membership $20 per family per year.
