Iluka/ Yamba ladies – Maclean Hospital Charity Day

Monday February 22 saw 32 ladies play a Single Stableford generously sponsored by Faye McClymont and the Iluka Vets in support of the Maclean Hospital.

The numbers were down a little on last year due to several factors – holidays, weather and so on. However the Iluka Captain had organised a lovely fine day – after a very wet weekend and everyone enjoyed the golf, followed by a tasty BBQ lunch with our trusty chefs Peter and Dallas and salads from the ladies.

The 100 club and raffles were well supported and the cakes and slices were enjoyed before presentations to the winners for the day. President Ann thanked her committee and ‘merry band of helpers’ who made the day such a success and Lee from Yamba added their thanks.

Ann introduced the ladies from the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary – Rita Nutt, Margaret Davis, Pauline Howard and Sandra Bradbury who always make the time to join us on our Charity Day. A cheque for $680 the proceeds from the day was handed over and the Yamba ladies added another cheque for $510 which they had raised on their Open Day earlier in the year. Sadly the Auxiliary ladies are retiring at the next AGM and a call was made for new committee members to take over this valuable fund raising for our Hospital.
