The March 19 single Stableford was sponsored by Jim Wride, a Vet who generously donates time and effort in many ways to the Club including being a member of Doug’s Army of Volunteer Greenkeepers. Many thanks to Jim and wife Val for the efforts they contribute to the club.

The course was in splendid condition all-round, the weather conditions were perfect and we have only ourselves to blame if we did not score well. The Greens are coming on after some scarifying maintenance done with the help of Doug’s Army of Volunteers. Well done boys.

Barry Robbie Mars Bar and Porcelain Cup went to last week’s winner David Burns, from 39 points last week to a very humble 21 points this week. We understand David has some pre-season jitters worrying about what the Pies will do this year and was last seen trying to find a dark corner to hide in. A week is a long time in golf.

The ball rundown went to 9 players with 34 points or better, so overall the course won again.
