The first day of spring didn’t disappoint – a perfect day saw 18 ladies play a single Stableford under the Covid restrictions which many seem to be enjoying. The course is in great condition and the ducks don’t even ‘duck’ when the balls come near them. Our thanks to Iluka Quality Meats for their continued sponsorship – this is much appreciated by the ladies.

Winners: Div 1 (0-30) – Faye McClymont 40 nett; Div 2 (31-45) – Lynn Robertson 39 nett.

Runners up: Div 1 – Laurice Poore 36 nett: Div 2 – Chris Cavallo 38 nett.

Ball rundown to 33: Ann Dean, Elly Byer, Merrilyn Whitton, Patricia Freeman, L Kent, Kate Brims.

Chip in: Merrilyn Whitton on 6th 2/4, Faye McClymont on 17th 3/3.

With no socialising in the clubhouse, we were unable to say farewell to our winter visitor Aileen Fenton as she endeavours to make her way back to Victoria. Aileen has been playing with us for a number of months, she wrote a card to Captain Faye and all the Iluka lady golfers thanking us for making her so welcome, great company, beautiful course and enclosed a Saturday Lotto Mini Quickpick. She will see us next year.

Hopefully, with an easing of restrictions, the competitions will return to normal. Captain Faye will advise ladies of the games we will play when this happens.
