Marianne Jenner successfully defended her Major Singles title when we she was victorious in the 2018 final against Michelle Swan.   The final which was played on Thursday February 15 was initially a very even game with scores of six all, ten all, then eleven all. At this point Marianne was able to establish a significant lead over several ends until the score was 24-11 in her favour.  Michelle, showing great determination, perseverance and control then won three consecutive ends to make the score 24 -14.  Eventually Marianne scored the extra elusive shot to take the match. The final was the culmination of four rounds of friendly but competitive games featuring 14 of our lady bowlers. Semi final: Michelle Swan def Kaylene Toovey; Marianne Jenner def Fay Flaherty. The 2018 Pennant season commenced on Tuesday February 20, with Iluka entering teams in Grade 3 and Grade 5. All our members are wishing our teams’ good bowling and an enjoyable season.
