Our Pennant team (lead by captain Paul Mitchell) had a very nice 5 – 2 win at Coraki over Ballina. Well done boys, a great win for a team thrown together at the last minute and thanks to those who put their hand up to make up the numbers.

Saturday May 25

A 4BBB with a single Stableford was played in conjunction, sponsored by a new sponsor of the club, Iluka Bait and Tackle and we thank them for their sponsorship. The perfect weather and a course magnificently presented showed, with some great scores entered. Visitors from Burrum Districts, Canungra, Blayney and Maclean lifted the field to 42 players.

The winner of the single Stableford event was Noel Field with 41 points on a countback with three others.

The four ball winners were old stagers Noel Chambers and Col Kempshall with 47 points on a three way count back from John Williams and Danny Mortison.

Nearest the pins went to Sam McDonald and his new eyes on 1/10, 6/15 Gary Freeman and Frank Poore 8/17.

Teams with 44 points or better got a ball in the rundown.
